ORAHS 2026 :: Belfast (UK)

The 52nd annual conference of the EURO Working Group on Operational Research Applied to Health Services (ORAHS 2026) will take place in Belfast (UK) organised by Laura Boyle and Adele Marshall from the Queen’s University Belfast.

The ORAHS 2026 theme "Transforming healthcare systems through digital innovation and artificial intelligence; will be explored through plenary, regular talk, discussion talk and poster sessions.

We encourage you to consider discussion talk submissions to stimulate debate throughout the conference. We will hold a practitioner day where public and private health care actors will engage, collaborate and potentially challenge ORAHS researchers with current issues.

PhD students working on their theses in the field of Operations Research applied to Health Services are invited to submit a research proposal paper for the doctoral colloquium hosted within the 2026 ORAHS conference.

ESWI 2026 :: Aachen (DE)

Ten years after the last EURO Summer Winter Institute on Operational Research Applied to Health Services (ORAHS), we are excited to announce a new edition focused on data-driven health care under uncertaintystrong>.
This EURO Summer/Winter Institute (ESWI) 2026 is jointly organized by CHOIR (University of Twente) and the COMBI group (RHWT Aachen), and will take place in the historic and dynamic city of Aachen, Germany, from September 20 to October 2, 2026.
PhD students as well as PostDocs and researchers within three years of their PhD are encouraged to apply and join the insitute for a two-week program that supports the next generation of thinkers in operational research for healthcare—particularly those focused on uncertainty, data, and real-world impact.
